Eligibility & membership category

NSM primarily welcomes physicians, health professionals, researchers and educators engaged in medical sciences and related disciplines. Please indicate your membership category and basic eligibility information as recognised by your professional or regulatory body.

Fellow status typically requires nomination or endorsement by existing NSM Fellows and may involve additional review.

Where possible, align with NSM sections and specialty structures used on the NSM website.

Personal & professional details

These details will be used for membership records, formal correspondence and, where authorised, directory listings. Please provide names and affiliations as they should appear in academic or professional contexts.

Step 3

Academic profile & alignment with NSM

NSM is an academically oriented organisation. The information below supports review of your academic background, research interests and alignment with NSM’s mission to advance medical sciences, education and ethical practice.

References & supporting information

For certain membership categories (particularly Fellow status), NSM may request references or endorsements from existing NSM Fellows or senior colleagues. You may also indicate relevant supporting documents.

If you are applying for Fellow (FNSM) status, please provide details for at least one nominating NSM Fellow or senior referee. For other membership categories, references are generally optional unless specifically requested.

In production, this may include copies of licences, CVs, academic profiles or letters of support, in line with NSM’s application guidelines and data protection policies.
